Peach OSI 14.04.1L 32 Bit and 64 Bit Updates and Upgrades

The "L" in the version code name denotes a multiple language version and support for the following languages was added to both the 32 bit and the 64 bit versions of Peach OSI code named 14.04.1L

Added support for: Arabic, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, and Spanish.

Added database support for a wider range of printers inside CUPS.

Added support for Music CDs - Music CDs will now auto start with "CD Player" when a music CD is inserted.

Added support for MP3 Players - MP3 devices will now be auto recognized and open "Banshee" upon insertion. This includes support for some Apple® products.

Added Google Search pages as the default browser initial pages to both Firefox and Midori. For those questioning "Why Midori", Midori can easily create web Apps of any website. Not very many browsers support this feature anymore. A handy feature for Facebook, Twitter and our Peach OSI website.

Removed the following Applications. XFBurn, Xchat, Dconfeditor, Gnumeric, Ardour Workstation in favor of Ardour 3 and removed the Google translater from Firefox.

Added the following Applications: CD Player

Added Xfce terminal to the main Menu.

Removed cruft and left over corpses from installation skel folder. (All that I could identify)

Reset default programs.

Note about Movie DVDs.

I setup Peach OSI to recognize when a Movie DVD is inserted and to automatically open the VLC Media Player.

In order to view a Movie, insert your Movie into your DVD player.

When the VLC Media Player starts up you will need to click on "Media" located at the top left.

Next from the pull down menu select "Open Directory".

Next click on the title of the Movie in the directory column on the left side.

Then click on the Movie's main folder and

then click on "Open" in the bottom right hand corner.

The DVD player will begin reading the Movie DVD and in a minute or so you should get the Movie's Menu Screen. From there you should be good to go.

I tried several ways and many applications attempting to simplify this process but this method was the only one that was fail safe.
